Executive Team

Yoav Naveh,
Co-Founder, CEO

Prior to co-founding the company, Yoav worked for an Internet security start-up and served in the Israeli Defense Forces' Intelligence Corps as a Captain.

Yoav has 10 years of managerial experience behind him, and his hands-on experience of developing machine learning algorithms and large-scale systems has proved invaluable in establishing ContextIn's growing reputation for innovation and technical excellence. He co-authored “Open Source Fuzzing Tools”, a popular book on the "black box" software technique used to test and improve levels of computer and network security. Yoav holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics

A lesser known fact about Yoav is his past experience in coaching a high-school boys' and junior high-school girls' basketball team. There's no official record of how they fared but with Yoav at the helm, chances are they trounced the competition.

Gil Shiff,

Co-Founder, EVP Products

Before co-founding ContextIn, Gil served as a senior economic adviser and the first employee of Israel's National Economic Council. The Council is responsible for advising the Prime Minister and assisting in formulating the nation's economic policy.

Gil was the technically-minded founder of a number of Internet web-sites, a product management consultant for several start-up companies and previously a development team leader in one of Israel's famous, elite Intelligence Corp units.

Gil holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science (magna cum laude) and Economics (summa cum laude), an MBA (magna cum laude), and an MA in Economics (summa cum laude). He has published several empirical academic papers defining innovative data processing methodologies, and is frequently invited to speak at international conventions

Unfortunately (according to some), the resounding success of ContextIn has, for the time being, put the dampers on another of Gil's passions - playing the bass guitar in a rock band.

Yair Weinberger,

VP R&D

Yair is a graduate of the Israeli army's elite Talpiot program for young people who have demonstrated outstanding ability in the sciences, physics and mathematics.

During the program Yair carried out research into machine learning and coding theory. His work was published at the Sixteenth European Conference of Artificial Intelligence in 2004.

He has a strong technical background in software development and research in the areas of information security, cellular networks and machine learning. It is machine learning, and ContextIn's feature-enrichment machine learning engine in particular, which plays such a crucial role in the intelligent pricing of impression opportunities.

Yair holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science (major), Mathematics (major) and Physics (minor).

Considering his background and education it's hardly surprising to learn that Yair is something of a master on the chess board but he's also no stranger to another type of board; the Snowboard to be precise.
